Passing Core alone does not authorize classification-specific commercial work - you still need the numbered classification exam(s) for services you will supervise. After Core, sit classification exams, then place Commercial Applicator license fees ($150 first classification; $100 each additional; $300 maximum) once you are a License Holder or employed by one. The applicator license becomes invalid if that relationship ends until reestablished or you obtain a License Holder license. Marketing Classification 1 pretreats, clearance letters, Classification 3 fumigation, or ornamental tracks on Core alone is a permissions mismatch.

Commercial (for-hire): 1 Termite and Other (Wood Destroying) Structural Pest Control (soil pretreatments, letters of clearance; Class 1 holders face minimum treatment, contract/guarantee, and monthly reporting rules); 2 Household Pest and Rodent Control (organisms that infest homes/buildings other than WDO); 3 General Fumigation; 4 Tree and Turf; 5 Weed Control; 6 Golf Course Pest Control.

Non-commercial (not for hire): 7 Structural; 8 Fumigation; 9 Tree and Turf; 10 Golf Course - employer-property certificate tracks only. Non-commercial certificates cannot issue Letters of Clearance, WDI reports, or termite contracts as commercial Class 1 work.

Pass scores (agency program page): 75% for Classifications 1 - 3 and 4/9; 70% for Classifications 5 - 8 and 6/10. Exam fee is $100 per classification under 2 CAR § 54-206; non-commercial certificate fee is $70 after the exam path. Re-verify amounts on official materials before filing.

Commercial Applicator and Registered Agent applicants must be at least 18.

Under Ark. Code § 17-37-206, to sit for Classification 1 (Termite and Other Structural Pests) or Classification 2 (Household Pests and Rodent Control) exams, document at least one year of experience in the classification, OR at least two years of accredited college/university work including at least one basic entomology course. After exams, Commercial Applicator license fees are $150 for the first classification and $100 for each additional, capped at $300 per applicator. License Holder annual fees ($100 / $250 / $500 by 0 - 30 / 31 - 60 / 61+ agents) and the $70 non-commercial certificate fee are firm/certificate fees - not exam fees.
